My bed cave in London, today.

I'm currently going through a re-decoration phase. It's all part of 'digging my toes in'.

I've just painted my bed cave (the alcove that keeps my bed cosy) white and dove blue. Now I lie here waiting for the paint smell to dissipate and the walls to totally dry before I move to phase 2.

It looks a little like a cell right now, but it's going to be very pretty, very soon.

Stay tuned.

That so reminds me of my attic room in Earlsfield, just down the line from you. It had a beam running across the ceiling that I regularly hit my head on. But above my bed was a lovely skylight. It was a magic room.

I love my skylight too. In the daytime I can watch the clouds (and sometimes planes) pass by; at night it's the moon and stars that wave hello.

And I hit my head on all the various corners of my room on pretty much a weekly basis.

Isn’t that the perfect sack to end the day with? :) It’s a little small, but the skylight helped a lot to eliminate the cramped feeling. Am I right? I’m sure stargazing has been a hobby since you got that place. ;D

This room is quite similar to my bedroom when I was younger. It was just small and the space was really limited. However, it has a skylight too! That is why I still loved it. I enjoyed hanging out in my room. I’m already happy just lying in my bed and looking at the sky during the day and gazing at the stars at night! :))

How did your redecoration phase turn out? I wonder how your attic room looks like today. I really get excited to see remodeling projects like this as I get to learn great ideas. It will be a big help once I conduct my own home renovation projects in the future!
